Painting Between the Wind and the River

Painted Thoughts

Science estimates 70,000 thoughts pass like meteor showers through our minds every day.  For me, most of these flashes become momentarily bad contemplations and, thankfully, burn out.

Occasionally, one of those 70,000 light trails creates a lasting impression: a retinal etch. It's different, usually abstract and unrelated to necessity, function or survival. Despite their lack of utilitarian value, I recognize their importance to me. I give them the reality they deserve by turning them into images.

I call them my Painted Thoughts.
